Echo Wang is an international partner at RuiMin. Echo specialises in M&A, private equity transactions, capital markets and general corporate matters.


Prior to joining RuiMin, Echo worked at the leading Chinese firm Fangda Partners for six years and prior to that she worked at several other leading law firms.

Echo speaks fluent English, Mandarin and Cantonese.

    • Advising AstraZeneca on its US$1.2bn acquisition of Nasdaq-listed Gracell Biotechnology (ALB China 2024 M&A Deal of the Year Award) 

    • Advising DP World, a world leader in global supply chain solutions based in Dubai, on its acquisition of 100 per cent of the Cargo Services Seafreight business, a comprehensive logistics solutions provider

    • Advising CVC Capital Partners on its acquisition of Scan Global Logistics (SGL), a global full-service logistics provider, with an enterprise value of US$1.67bn

    • Advising Renault (PNK: RNLSY ) on the creation of powertrain technology joint venture with Geely Group with a transaction value at around US$7.92bn

    • Advising Foshan Construction & Development Group on its acquisition of controlling interests in A-share listed company Guangdong Wenke Green Technology (002775.SZ) at a consideration of around RMB632m

    • Advising Midea Group (000333.SZ) on: i) its RMB2.3bn acquisition of a controlling stake of Wandong Medical (600055.SH); ii) on its establishment of four joint ventures in China with KUKA AG with a transaction size of RMB4bn; iii) on its establishment of a joint venture in China with Electrolux with a transaction size of RMB360m; and iv) its relevant general corporate matters

    • Advising Jacobs Douwe Egberts B.V., a leading global coffee company, on: i) its US$1.05bn acquisition of Super Group Ltd., a Singapore listed company and ii) its US$361m acquisition of OldTown Berhad

    • Advising Cainiao on: i) establishing an RMB8.5bn warehousing and logistics fund with China Life; ii) its RMB5.3bn financing; iii) its around RMB3bn financing and new joint venture with YTO (圆通快递), ZTO (中通快递), STO(申通快递), Yun Da(韵达快递), Best Express(百世汇通) and Yun Feng Capital(云锋基金); iv) its US$290m acquisition of the controlling stake in Dianwoda, a leading crowd source delivery services company in China; v) its US$67m investment in De Well Group, a leading international freight forwarder; and vi) its relevant general corporate matters

    • Advising Lumentum Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ: LITE) on its US$918m acquisition of NeoPhotonics Corporation (NYSE: NPTN)

    Echo obtained her LLB degree from East China University of Political Science & Law and LLM degree from New York University. She is qualified in China and the State of New York.
