The scope of personal information we process depends on the nature of the matter, and under such circumstances we limit the scope to the necessary minimum.

  • When you sign up for our offline seminars, webinars and other social media activities on our website or social media, we may collect the information you voluntarily provide to us by submitting our registration form, such as your name, position, name of your organisation and contact details, to administer access to and present the respective seminar, webinar or event, and to send you documents according to your requirements. We may also use such information collected from registration and attendance for business development purposes.

  • When you apply for a position with us, we may collect the information you voluntarily provide by submitting our registration form or emailing us, such as your name, contact details, education and work experience, in order to assess your suitability for the position.

  • many of our third-party service providers (e.g., virtual data room, cloud storage, etc.) are located outside of mainland China, so they may transfer your personal information outside of mainland China when they process your personal information;

  • we may also transfer your personal information outside of mainland China when it is necessary to conclude and fulfil a contract that we have entered into with you.

When we transfer your personal information outside of mainland China, we will adopt safeguards under applicable laws and regulations before transferring your personal information abroad, for instance, conducting a security assessment or obtaining government approval if such assessment or approval is mandatory, as well as other appropriate technical and managerial measures to ensure data security during transmission.

Retention period

We take all reasonably practicable measures to ensure that we store your personal information only for as long as there is legal ground to do so. When there is no longer a legal ground for the information to be retained, we will erase such personal information securely, or in some cases anonymise it.
