Qiliang Hu is an associate of RuiMin's antitrust and foreign investment team. His primary practice areas include multi-jurisdictional antitrust and foreign investment filing analysis, filing coordination, Chinese antitrust and national security review aspects of cross-border transactions and antitrust compliance advisory. Qiliang also has experience in advising EU Foreign Subsidies Regulations filing and investigation.



Qiliang has recently advised a range of clients in chemicals, industrial gas, automotive, HVAC/climate solutions, shipping, mining, energy, insurance and food sectors.

Before joining RuiMin, Qiliang worked in Linklaters and its joint operation partner Zhao Sheng in its Beijing offices for 5 years.

Qiliang speaks fluent English and Mandarin.

    • Advising Carrier Global Corporation on the Chinese merger control, national security review and EU FSR aspects of its several China and global transactions, including its buyout of      Carrier-Toshiba JV, acquisition of Viessmann Climate Solutions and its internal global business reshuffle and several divestments*

    • Advising Linde on the Chinese merger control aspects of its divestment of assets under Linde/Praxair merger, and two joint venture transactions respectively with Wanhua Chemical and Fujian Petrochemical*

    • Advising ByteDance (now Douyin) on the Chinese merger control aspects of its acquisition of Amcare*

    • Advising Glencore plc on the Chinese merger control aspects of its several acquisitions of global mining assets*

    • Advising COSCO Shipping and Guangzhou Salvage on the Chinese and overseas merger control aspects of a joint venture establishment regarding semi-submersibles*

    • Advising GIP and Meridiam regarding its joint acquisition of several divested/reverse-carve out assets under the main transaction of Veolia's acquisition of Suez S.A*

    • Advising Ampex Technology on the multi-jurisdictional merger control analysis and Vietnam merger control aspects of its joint venture establishment with CATL relating to battery business*

    • Advising Intel on the Chinese merger control aspects of its sale of NAND business to SK Hynix*

    • Advising PepsiCo on the Chinese merger control aspects of its acquisition of Be & Cheery*

  • Qualifications

    Qiliang graduated from China University of Political Science and Law with an LL.M. degree. Prior to that, Qiliang obtained his LL.B. degree from Southwest University of Political Science and Law. Qiliang is admitted to practice in the PRC.
