Xiaopeng Lai is a senior associate of RuiMin's antitrust and foreign investment team. His primary practice areas include antitrust and regulatory aspects of cross-border mergers and acquisitions, antitrust investigations, antitrust litigations and the intersection between antitrust and intellectual property in China.
Xiaopeng has recently advised a range of clients in TMT, air transportation, shipping, automotive, semiconductor, and pharmaceutical sectors, among other sectors. Prior to joining RuiMin, Xiaopeng worked with Freshfields and two leading PRC firms.
Xiaopeng speaks fluent English and Mandarin.

Qualifications
Xiaopeng graduated from the University of Illinois College of Law at Urbana-Champaign with a Juris Doctor degree. In law school, he was a Harno Scholar and a recipient of the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Antitrust Law and in International Trade Policy. Prior to his legal career, he obtained a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Brown University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from St. Louis University.
Xiaopeng is admitted to practice in District of Columbia, United States, and has passed PRC bar.
